RICHMOND - Mrs. Michele Louise Barnes Williams, born February 16, 1954, was the first of six children born to MSgt. (Ret.) Henry B.M. Barnes and Valerie A. Barnes in San Antonio, Texas. She resided in Richmond, Virginia for 43 years, and was called to eternal rest on June 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents. Michele was devoted to loving and serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her beautiful smile, calm demeanor, and loving spirit will be greatly missed by her husband of 42 years, Thaddeus D. Williams, son, Christopher C. Williams (Marseia), daughter, Candice M. Williams, all of Richmond; brothers, TSgt. (Ret.) Kevin M. Barnes (Glenda) of Hampton, Lt.Col. (Ret.) Darryl G. Barnes (Joselin) of Concord, North Carolina; sisters, Carmen B. Mills of Atlanta, Georgia, Wanda B. Council of Newport News, and Robyn B. Richardson (Julius) of Richmond, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, located at 1415 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA, by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr., A public viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, followed by a repast at the church.
