James W. "Brother" Aud, Jr., 69, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Owensboro Medical Health System after a short battle with cancer. Born in Daviess County on October 1, 1942, he was the son of the late James W. Aud, Sr., and Mary Basham Aud and was retired from Green River Steel where he was a labor foreman and Water Treatment Supervisor. Mr. Aud enjoyed NASCAR, UK basketball, restoring old cars, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed following "The Insulated" band for which his grandson was a guitarist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla Ann Brey; a granddaughter, Lauren June Girten; his mother-in-law, Myrl Arnold Howard and a brother-in-law, Doug Fulcher.

Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Becky Arnold Aud; daughters, Stacy Aud and Shelly Bledsoe; grandchildren, Drew Aud, Chandler Brooks, and Reed Brooks; a brother, Mark Douglas Aud of Florida; a sister-in-law, Nancy Fulcher of Owensboro; brothers-in-law, Terry (Linda) Arnold and Donnie Arnold of Owensboro; a large extended family including, June and Keith Conder, Clint and Ellie Girten, Elizabeth Williams, Ainsley Anderson, Brett Beckwith, Sherree Beckwith, and Danielle Beckwith; and the "Insulated" family; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services are 7 p.m. Sunday evening in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Myke Templeton officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m.
