At the age of 54, he was 2nd married on July 24, 1962 in Tazewell County, Virginia to 37 year old Helen Lee Griffith Johnson, daughter of Richard Billard Griffith and Emma Rentha Jewell.
He worked as a Driver and lived in Jewell Ridge, Tazewell County, Virginia and at the time of death, he was 55 years old and passed away from Cancer at the Veterans Administration Center at the Government Reservation in Mountain Home, Washington County, Tennessee.
