Mrs. Tara Hancock Gupton of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Amanda Gilpin Hancock, was born on February 28, 1921 in Green County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 at the Green Hill Nursing and Rehab in Greensburg having attained the age of 102 years, 11 months and three days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a 78-year member of the Greensburg Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gupton was a homemaker and former owner of White Cloud Laundromat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Frank Gupton, on March 19, 2006, having united in marriage on January 14, 1939.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Gerald and Kay Gupton of Richmond; a daughter-in-law: Connie Gupton of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Cody and Kali Gupton, Joseph Gordon Rogers III, Kayla and Mike Daniels, Rhona and Rasmi Kamar, and Neila and Michael Angel; ten great-grandchildren; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Glen Gupton on January 8, 2012 and one sister: Margy Marie Hancock.

The funeral services for Mrs. Tara Gupton will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Greensburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Tommy Tucker officiating.

Visitation is requested after 12 Noon, Central Time, until the time of the service at Greensburg Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to Greensburg Baptist Church, which can be made at the church or the funeral home.
