Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Eugene Jacobs, 67, Walnut Grove, who died Tuesday, March 30, 2010. The Rev. Welton Brooks will officiate with Masonic rites by Ray Woody. Burial will be in Altoona-Walnut Grove Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
He leaves us as an adoring husband, a proud, kind and gracious dad and a very loving "Paw Paw Gene" who will never be forgotten. Eugene was the founder and member of the West End Bass Club and was also a member of the Walnut Grove Masonic Lodge. He was employed at Gulf States Steel for 36 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. D.L. and Zena Jacobs; brothers, Ray, Clifford, L.D. and Troy Jacobs; and sisters, Lessie Mason and Nett Holliday.
