Word has been received here of the death of Josephine Bartley, 76, of Phoenix. She died Saturday, Aug. 5, 1995, at her home. Funeral was conducted Aug. 9 at Lundberg Mortuary White Rose Chapel in Phoenix. Burial was at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Phoenix.
Mrs. Bartley was a homemaker most of her life and had lived in Phoenix for many years. She was born in Bartholomew County Jan. 13, 1919, the daughter of Thomas Powell and Cora Bless Loy. She married Robert Bartley April 8, 1935, in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Shuck of Phoenix; granddaughters, Kathy Schipper and Kim Valdez, both of Phoenix; sisters, Dorothy Dobbs and Eva Wade, both of Columbus; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Loy; a twin sister, Pauline Shafer; and sisters, Hazel Loy and Ivy Foster.
