FREEMAN, Marion (nee Adair) - Toronto Star. (formerly of 3 Eccleston) At the Dewson Private Hospital on Friday, June 27, 1975, Marion Freeman, wife of the late Dr. W. P. Freeman. Survived by one son, Paul Adair Freeman, both of Springfield, Ont. Mrs. Freeman will be resting at the "Scarborough Chapel" of McDougall & Brown LTD., 2900 Kingston Rd. (near St. Clair Ave. E.) after 6 p.m. Sunday. Service and committal in the chapel Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Cremation.

A large number of friend and relatives from Lucknow, Orillia, Kitchener, Tillsonburg, St. Thomas, Belmont, Aylmer and Springfield areas paid their last respects to Dr. William Paul Freeman, M.D., at the Ross Shaw Funeral Home here Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Ronald Matthewman of Trinity Anglican Church, Aylmer, conducted the service. Interment was in Springfield Cemetery. Dr. Freeman, 78, died in Westminster Hospital at London, Ont., on Thursday, Dec. 31. He had been ill for a year. The pallbearers were James Armstrong, Howard Ross, Leo Conner, Clayton Charlton, Ross Gracey and Jack Hodgins, Jr. and the many floral tributes were carried by Kenneth Moore, Frank Walker, Earl Boughner, Clifford Summerhayes, Frank Lamb and Harry Barons. The village's only resident medical doctor, Dr. Freeman practiced until about a year ago when he entered the hospital. He was born in Ingersoll in 1887 and graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School in London, Ont. 1914 and immediately enlisted in the Canadian Army Medical Corps. He served overseas until the Armistic in 1918 and returned with the rank of Captain. He came to Springfield to practice his profession in 1922. Dr. Freeman was a member Corinthian Lodge 330 AF & AM in Lambeth, Ont., a member of Trinity Anglican Church in Aylmer and a member of Col. Talbot Branch 81 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving are his widow, the former Marion Adair and a son, Paul, both of Kitchener; and a sister, Mrs. Wesley (Edith) Jooynt of Lucknow.

This community's only doctor, Dr. William Paul Freeman, 78, died yesterday in Westminster Hospital, London. Dr. Freeman, a native of Ingersoll, practised here for 41 years. He graduated in medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 1914 and immediately enlisted in the Canadian Army Medical Corps. He served until the end of the war in 1918, reaching the rank of captain. He practiced in Springfield from 1922 until about one year ago. He was a member of Corinthian Lodge No. 330, A.F. & A.M., Lambeth, Aylmer Branch 81 of the Royal Canadian Legion and of Trinity United Church, Aylmer. He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Adair and a son, Paul, both of Kitchener; and a sister, Mrs. Wesley (Edith) Joynt, Lucknow. Service will be at 3:15 p.m. tomorrow at the Ross Shaw funeral home, Springfield. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery.

Paul will be sadly missed by many good friends in Springfield. He is the last surviving member of his family. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 3, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Springfield Cemetery.
