Ted's obituary has been edited for the protection of surviving families per FAG rules.
Theodore B. "Ted" Oliver, 77, a resident of Uxbridge for 50 years, died Thurs., Sept. 22, 2011 surrounded by his loving family in Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge. He is the husband of Nancylee (Dunn) Oliver.
Mr. Oliver was the national sales manager at Garrity Industries, Madison, CT for several years, retiring in 2001. He had previously worked for Warner Chilcott Pharmaceutical Company and Family Products.
He was born Dec. 6, 1933 in Boston, son of the late Harold B. Oliver and Margaret (Peary) Arton. He was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Brookline High School and a graduate of Boston University. Mr. Oliver served in the U.S. Army Reserves attaining the rank of Captain.
Mr. & Mrs. Oliver observed their 53rd wedding anniversary on Sept. 6, 2011.
He loved time with family, enjoyed his animals, gardening, and cruises. He possessed a strong work ethic throughout his life and had served for many years as a member and past chairman of the Uxbridge Finance Committee. A member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Whitinsville, he previously served on the church's Vestry and was member of the church's "Geezer Club".
In addition to his wife Nancylee, he is survived by two sons, S of Harrisville, NH and S of Uxbridge; one daughter, J of Putnam, CT; one brother, Harold Lee Oliver [deceased —197451902] and his wife S of Roslindale; 8 grandchildren [ omitted their names] , and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sat., Oct. 1, 2011 at 12 Noon in Trinity Episcopal Church, 33 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.

Theodore Oliver assisted taking care of his niece Dorothy Peary Harvey who passed away in Florida at the age of 91…Dorothy preceded in death by her son Larry Harvey and a granddaughter who lived in Georgia. She is— DAYTONA BEACH -- Dorothy A. Harvey, 91, of Margina Avenue, an accounting bookkeeper, died Sunday at home.
Mrs. Harvey, a native of Watertown, Mass., came here in 1979 from Stuart. Preceded in death by her husband Lewis Harvey in the same cemetery as she is and her son Larry Harvey of Georgia and a granddaughter , Lisa Marie Harvey in Georgia
Survivors include two grandchildren; and a nephew, Theodore Oliver, Uxbridge Mass.,who provided for her care. Baldwin Brothers, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
