Alfred George Crawford was born on October 20, 1894 in Blything, Suffolk, England to parents Charles Crawford and Sarah Marshall. At some point he made his way to Canada and lived in Islington, Ontario. He was a WW1 Veteran serving in the CEF as a Private and was discharged in 1918. He married Elizabeth Jane Bolt, a British Home Child, on August 17, 1920. They lived for many years at 1 Hillcroft Dr., Islington, ON until their passing. Together they had 4 children: Gordon, Dorothy (who sadly died at 17 months), Douglas and Bruce, and as well as many grandchildren.
