Bud was born October 13,1929 and lived his entire life in the Quitman County area. He graduated from Marks High School and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended & graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1950 where he was a member of Delta Psi Fraternity. While at Ole Miss, he met his future wife, Suezette Buehler. He returned to Marks where he and his father operated the family Chevrolet dealership, which was formed in 1937.
During his lifetime, Bud served his community in various capacities. He was a devoted member of the Marks Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Chief for many years. Additionally, he was most proud of his military service in the Mississippi National Guard where he achieved the rank of captain.
Mr, Barringer is survived by his wife Suezette Barringer; daughters Mary Beth (James) Maxted of Brownwood, TX., Suezette Hankins of Jackson, MS.and Cathy (Tag) Reed of Belzoni, MS. Son, Henry Barringer of Marks, MS. and one sister, Montie Calvert of Little Rock, AR. Twelve grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren and Two Great-great grandchildren also survive Mr. Barringer. He also eaves behind his much beloved dogs, Beau & Casper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Gray and Mary Barringer, one son Ben Gray Barringer III, and brother James Mack Barringer.
