Vicount was born on the same date as me,but a different month and year, but we share the 18th. He was one of 14 puppies delievered that May day in a shed in my yard. He was so beautiful, I had to keep him and his sister Snowbear who was born with no eyes and was deaf as well. I kept Snowbear for obvious reasons, and Vicount because he was a perfect copy of his dad Banshee. His mom's name was Lace , she was a Harlequin and was very loving and close to me.
Vicount was full of joy and love and loved running and playing.
One afternoon I noticed him resting on the patio but I didn't like the way he was breathing, he was after all very young. I rushed him to the vet who did an ekg on him and said he believed it was congestive heart failure and that it was just a gene he was born with. I left him overnite at the vets so he could be monitored and cared for.
The vet called me the next morning and said Vicount passed away during the nite or morning hours.
I made arrangements to have him buried in Love Pet Cemetery as he was way to heavy and large for me to bring him back home to lay him to rest. I lost him at a very young age , but I will never forget those beautiful iceblue eyes and that loving and joyful personality that he had. I watched him grow from a tiny hours old puppy to a one year old georgous Merle . I will always miss him, because he was a beautiful and good dog, as were his mom Lace and his dad Banshee, as for Snowbear his sister that had no eyes and was deaf as well. She grew bigger and stonger and outlived them all. My beautiful Dane Family.. I miss them all.
