Paul Wedman Dies at 59; WW2 Veteran

     Paul Edward Wedman, 59, of 2057 Maple St. Road, Lyons, died on Feb 28, 1979 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital after a
long illness.

     Mr. Wedman was born in Phelps, Dec 16, 1919, the son of Fred W. and Helen Borau Wedman.  He had been a resident of Lyons most of his life.  He had been employed at Parker-Hannifin until 1976.  Mr. Wedman had formerly worked as a mechanic for the Buick Garage for 20 years.  He was an Army veteran of WW 2.

     Mr. Wedman was a member of the Collins-Cassavino Post 227 of the American Legion and VFW Post 2092 (Note: should have read 5092).

     Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Hallock; a son, James E., of Lyons; a brother, August of Florida; eight sisters, Mrs. Lillian Meal, Mrs. Arthur (Theresa) Flamey, Mrs. Stanley (Emma)
DeWeaver, Mrs. Charles (Alma) Flamey, Mrs. Emil (Minnie Hildebrandt, Mrs. Peter (Augusta) VandeViver, all of Newark, Mrs. Arthur (Amelia) LaPlant of Rochester, Mrs. Albert (Martha) Heald of Sodus, and several nieces and nephews.

    A service was held on Friday with the Rev. Lloyd J. Newton, pastor of the Free Methodist Church of Newark, officiating.  Burial will be in Lyons South Cemetery in the Spring.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rochester Regional Diabetes Assocition or to the Lyons Town Ambulance Fund.
