Henry made only one appearance on a U.S. Census, in 1870, when he was 5. His father was a tavern keeper, their Post Office is Creve Coeur, which changed shortly thereafter. His father will be appointed Postmaster at Bartold's "Valley" in 1873, and his mother will take over and be named Postmaster after his father dies until at least 1890.
Henry's age on his death certificate is listed as 12 years and five months. He died of an abscess of liver. His birth date is an estimate based on death date and age.

The death certificate appears to say Bramen Saxton where the cemetery should be. I did find a Bremen Saxon Cemetery, listed at Bellefontaine & Hornsby, St. Louis City, a Lutheran cemetery, but it is not listed on Find a Grave. It may be defunct. Another listing for it says it is on Bellefontaine Road near Six-Mile House. That would be about two miles closer to the city and away from The Bartold property since it is the Eight-Mile House.
Another record has Bethlehem Cemetery (Bremen-Saxon) at Bittner and Switzer (1849-1969). I began looking for Bethlehem Cemetery when the two were linked in the "Lawful Cemetery Ordinance" of 1882.
Wm. H. Brown is listed as the attending physician.
