DEATH OF MR. A. A. BASSMAN.

The death occurred at Nurse Daley's hospital, Mullumbimby, early yesterday morning, of Mr. Albert Aherne Bassman, of Mullumbimby from pneumonia. Mr. Bassman who was 57 years of age, had been

ill for 10 days. The burial took place in the C. of E. portion of the Mullumbimby cemetery yesterday afternoon, the Revs J. Robb (Presbyterian) officiating in the absence of the Rev. A. G. Moore. Mullumbimby Citizens' Band attended, and played Chopin's "Funeral March" at the church, and

"Lead Kindly Light" and the "Dead March" in Saul at the graveside. The Royal Orange Lodge funeral service was conducted at the graveside at the conclusion of the ordinary service.
