Mrs. Loris Lahoma GOODWIN DICKEY, who served 45 years as a teacher and was a charter member of many local organizations, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Eastside Baptist Church in Sallisaw. The Rev. Steve Rutherford officiated.
Burial followed in Sallisaw City Cemetery under direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Mrs. DICKEY, 94, was born on April 1, 1911, to Walter GOODWIN and Rose Ada ADAIR GOODWIN in Sallisaw. She married Raymond Norphet DICKEY on Feb. 28, 1937, in Little Rock, Ark.
Mrs. DICKEY is survived by one sister, Mary Louise; two nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; and several other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. DICKEY was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, on Aug. 29, 1966, and by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
