CHARLES E. RAFFERTY

Rev. George Norris will conduct funeral services at 4 p.m. Friday at Gause-Ware Memorial Chapel for Charles E. Rafferty, 84, of 211 1/2 W Belknap. Burial will be in the Birdville Cemetery.

Mr. Rafferty, bookkeeper until he lost his sight four years ago, was cared for by his nephew, Jake Rafferty, a World War I veteran who was blinded by an accident 21 years ago. The younger man, already trained to get about without sight, helped the older man adjust himself to the new handicap.

Charles Rafferty, a bachelor, was a native of Girard, Ill., and came to Fort Worth in 1876. Other survivors are a brother, F. L. Rafferty, and a sister, Mrs. Molly Reyer, both of Fort Worth.
