Preston Cornwell, 62, of 505 Brandenburg Road, Leitchfield, passed away September 6, 1984 at his home. / Born December 16, 1921, he was the son of John and Ora Langley Cornwell. / Survivors include two sons, Kenny Cornwell of Leitchfield and Danny Cornwell of Brownsville; two sisters, Nell Byers of Horse Cave and Ruth Virginia Chard of Valley Station; two brothers, Herbert Cornwell of Springfield and John Cornwell of Marietta, Ga.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Cornwell, one sister, Kathryn Higdon and one grandchild. / Funeral services were held September 9, 1984 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with interment in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Rev. Edd Dermitt officiated.
