Gusta L. Watson, 67, 2731 Wisconsin Ave., died at 9 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Watson was born May 13, 1921, at Washburn. She moved to Joplin in 1953 from Independence, Kan. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for the former Reynolds Electric Company in Joplin before retiring. She attended Forest Park Baptist Church and was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church in the Jacket community, near Washburn.

She married Joe Watson Sept. 2, 1946, at Pittsburg, Kan. He survives.

Additional survivors include two sons; two sisters, Florence Rose, Washburn, and Carrie, Joplin; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. The Rev. John Newberry will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Proctor, Merle Hubbard, Merrell Junkins, Fred Jackson, Russell Bennett, Carl Lind, Paul Taylor and Walt Ruestman.

Members of the Good Sam's Travel Club will be seated as a group.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the pulmonary therapy department at Oak Hill Hospital.
