Albert was the son of Roy and Bessie (Helfenstein) Collier. He served in World War II, was a retired CPA, the director of foster grandparents of South Central Kentucky, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Carmill, Illinois.

He was survived by one daughter, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
