Shirley Marie Winters, 63, of Cassville, died August 13 at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville.

Mrs. Winters was born January 22, 1936, in Cheopa, Kansas, the daughter of Homer Gordon and Bernice Pauline (Cochran) Clark. She received her education in Kansas and Granby, moved to Golden in 1974, and moved to Cassville in 1992. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Washburn.

She married Marion "Pete" Winters on May 19, 1956, in Lordsburg, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Clark; one son, Frankie Winters; one daughter, Carla; and one grandson.

Services were 10 a.m. today, August 16, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Washburn with Rev. Bob Gaddis officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville.
