Clarence Holter rites Saturday
Serivces will be Saturday at 2:30 in Longfellow's Finnegan funeral Home for Clarence N. "Kelly" Holter, 55, of 401 Mitchell in Deer Lodge, who died Wednesday afternoon of a heart attack in Anaconda.
Mr. Holter was stricken while driving his car. It jumped a three-foot retaining wall at Cedar and Front.
Coroner Dan Jancic said the cause of death was cardiac arrest and added there would be no autopsy.
Mr. Holter was born in North Dakota March 27, 1925. He served in the Army in World War II. He came to Montana 16 years ago and was a guard at Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge. He was a member of the Elks.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet.
Survivors include sons, and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Holter and Randy, all of Portland; son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hall of Gladstone, Ore.; and brothers, Cliffor, Alvin and Lloyd Holter, all of North Dakota, Marvin Holter of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and Gerhard Holter of Rouge River, Ore,
Burial will be in the veterans' plot. Friends may call at the funeral home starting Friday afternoon.
