Jerry N. Abagnalo, of Toms River, New Jersey, died Saturday, April 26. He was originally from Brooklyn. Mr. Abagnalo was a World War II veteran and received the Purple Heart. Jerry was treasured and loved by his heartbroken family and friends he left behind to mourn and celebrate his life. He had a unique life of faith, hope and unconditional love. He was predeceased by his first wife of of 27 years, Sadie Abagnalo (1927-1975); his parents, Antonio and Amelia Abagnalo; his brothers Joseph, Ralph, George, infant Joseph and infant Jerry; and his sisters Angela and Caroline. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rosemarie Abagnalo; his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Stephen Trimboli, his son, Anthony Abagnalo; his cherished grandsons, Stephen and Michael Trimboli; his brothers and sisters-in-laws Barry and Grace, Michael and Nora, Anthony and the late Marie, John and Rita, and Ann Paone and the late Louis; and many Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2250 Route 516, Old Bridge. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Route 18, South Old Bridge. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Queens.
