Alta Daigle Matherne, age 84, a native and resident of Pierre Part, Louisiana passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024.

She enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling and spending time with family especially her grandkids.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Earl J. Matherne; three sons, Myron (Peggy), Carson (Rachel) and Michael Matherne; seven grandchildren, Lacey Ellis (Gary), Christine Bolotte (Bart), Danielle Matherne (seth), Kelli Matherne (Sunshine), Megan Matherne, Logan Matherne (Destiny) and Michaela Matherne; twelve great-grandchildren, Trystin Gilbert (Skylar), Leslie Ellis, Kolbi Bolotte, Parker Ellis, Kate Albarado, Mason Bolotte, Khloe Albarado, Benjamin and Brady LeBlanc, Annelise Breaux, Kennilynn and Krew Matherne.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ezelda and Reno Daigle; brother, Loyce Daigle; and daughter, Derida Matherne.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 for 8:30 am at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part until the Mass of Christian Burial for 12:00 pm at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Al Davidson will be officiating.
