Harvey, passed away in Mont Belvieu at the age of 85.

He and his brother were raised by their grandparents on a cattle ranch and he became a rice farmer in the 1940's.

In 1945, he became a jailer for Jefferson County and then in 1946 a deputy sheriff. Throughout his career he served as deputy sheriff in Chambers, Jefferson, Castro, Terrell and Winkler counties. In 1992, he retired from Winkler County as Chief Deputy Sheriff. He co-founded the Chief Deputy Association of Texas in 1985. In 2007, he along with the original members of the association, were honored for their accomplishments. In addition to his law enforcement career, he also worked in road and bridge repair for Dick Scurlock and ran a ranch in West Texas for several years.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Marine Private 1st Class, J.W. Glenn (who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor but was later killed in Saipan during WWII); grandfather, Will Burrell; grandmother, Clair Burrell; father, Harvey Glenn, Sr.; sister, Lyma Clair (Glenn) Lee; and his mother, Yoma (Burrell) Glenn.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Alice Glenn; sons, James Glenn and wife Louise, Sherrell Glenn; daughter, Sharon Owens and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Stacey Schrank and husband David, Kimberly Dillard and husband Raymond, Alicia Owens, Sherrie Luna and husband Michael, Kristina Eudy and husband Seth and Shawn Glenn; step grandchildren, J.R. Sanchez and Oscar Sanchez; great grandchildren, Stefani Rogers, Glenn Rogers, Cannon Schrank, Joshua Lyrock, Tyler Luna, Keaton Schrank, Kira Budro, Harley Budro, Andrew Jones, Brayden Glenn and Justin Luna; step great grandchildren, Christian Sanchez, Erica Sanchez and Ty Sanchez.
