COSSO JACK August 24, 1913 - August 19, 2002 Jack Cosso passed away suddenly on Monday. He was 88. Born in Alameda, CA he has resided in Lafayette for the past 51 years. Jack was one of the partners of the Liberty Baking Co. producing sourdough bread for 22 years. He eventually sold to Colombo Baking Co. Jack, a Teamsters Union member, worked part-time for 15 more years until he retired at the age of 80. He enjoyed growing his fruits and vegetables and enjoyed cooking as well. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Florence Cosso; sons, Lou Cosso (Suzanne) and Jim Cosso (Quynh); sisters, Lousie Silvano and Rena Repetto; bothers, Louie Cosso and John Cosso; and three grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Greg, Jason and Jen Cosso. he was proceeded in death by his brother Joe Cosso. All services will be held on Thursday Aug. 22, 2002 at St. Perpetua's Catholic Church, 3454 Hamlin Rd. in Lafayette. A prayer service will begin at 9:30 AM followed by a Viewing. A Mass of Christian burial will commence shortly thereafter at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette. Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel 925-934-5400.
