Miss Mary Jane Russo, 94, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Bickford Assisted Living and Memory Care in Shelby Charter Twp., MI.

Mary Jane was born on July 20, 1925, in Altoona, Pa to the late Joseph and Jennie (Carmosino) Russo. She, along with her parents moved to Ellwood City in 1926. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1944 and later from Geneva College. For 43 years she worked at Beneficial Consumer as an office manager retiring on December 31, 1987. While living in Ellwood City, Mary Jane was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, Rosary Makers Club, and the Ladies of Charity. In 2013 she moved to Ravenna, Ohio and again in 2018 to Sterling Heights, Michigan to live with her sister Irene.

She is survived by her sister, Irene Yanniello of Sterling Heights, MI, her niece, Cynthia (Bruce) Wasikowski of Shelby Twp., MI, her nephews, Robert (Gail) Yanniello, Kenneth (Allison) Yanniello, her great nieces, Laura (Connor) Willcox, Sarah (Matthew) Roberts, and Maria Wasikowski, her great nephew, Mathew (Heather) Wasikowski, her great-great niece, Arriana, and her great-great nephew, Lucas.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
