Mr. V. Singleton was found dead Thursday morning in a corn field. He had been in ill health for some time. He wandered away from home Wednesday afternoon and was not found until Thursday morning.
He leaves six children to mourn the loss of a good father. His wife died about two years ago. He also leaves six sisters and one brother.
After funeral services at the church by Rev. Lawrence, the remains were laid to rest in the Double Springs Cemetery.
