It seems T. and L. are often interchangeable. Still looking. Rich Kreis has a memorial for John L., but John T. is on the gravestone with Dellah.

John T. or L. Singleton

Years ago my dad's brother Wallace took me to this stone and said "Mom always said he was related to us, but I don't know how." Our family knows now, and he won't be forgotten. His name will be on our pedigree charts for those not yet born. Darla
