BERTHA COMER RAY, 70, PASSES AWAY IN OHIO

Bertha Comer Ray, age 70, of Warren Street in Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. She was formerly of LaFollette.

Survivors are: the husband, Robert Ray of Dayton, Ohio; sons, Albert Ray and James T. Ray of Dayton; daughters, Mrs. Lowell Bowers and Mrs. Paul Adlick, both of Detroit, Mrs. Chelo Testo of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Delia Heatherly, Ruth Riggs, Betty Heatherly and Nell Jordan, all of LaFollette; brothers, George, Jim and Paul Comer, all of LaFollette; step-mother, Mrs. Dovie Stanford of LaFollette; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. at the Primitive Baptist Church of Davis Chapel of which she was a member. Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery at Davis Chapel. Roach Mortuary of LaFollette was in charge.
