Floyd "Joe" Childers, 79 of Aurora, Colorado passed from this life on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home with family by his side. He was born January 1, 1940 in Norman, Oklahoma to his parents, Emuel Childers and Ina Edgeman Childers. He married the love of his life, Joy Scott on May 29, 1959 in Ponca City, Oklahoma and they have shared in over 60 beautiful years together.Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Joy Childers of the home; three sons, Rick Childers and his wife Teresa Carroll-Childers of Aurora, Colorado, Kelly Childers and his wife Alisa of Nepal, South Asia and Gregg Childers and his wife Tamara of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Deidre, Tess, Emma, Trinity, Zachariah, Kristen and Mehgan; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Childers and his wife Linda of Texas and Don Childers and his wife Pat of Texas; one sister, Mary Lee of Texas and a host of friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emuel and Ina Childers.Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tom Tucker officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7645 E 63rd St, Tulsa, OK 74133.
