OBITUARY:
Samuel Jenner Vest, 79, of White Gate, Va., died Friday in a Radford hospital after a short illness. Born in White Gate, he was a son of the late Calvin and Katherine Stinson Vest. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Grace Holt Vest; one son, David Vest of White Gate; four daughters, Mrs. Clara Bell of Newberryport, Mass., Mrs. Betty Morehead and Mrs. Alice Townley of Bland Co., Va., and Mrs. Martha Burnette of Pulaski, Va., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Underwood of Dublin, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Ted Anders officiating. Burial will follow in Stinson Cemetery.
