She attended Marshall Univ and was a graduate of Concord College with a B.S. in education. She had been a resident of Blue Jay since 1907 and was a charter member of the Blue Jay United Methodist Church, who taught Sunday school until her illness. [list of memberships]. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest (sic) H. Lynch; 3 sisters, Orpha King, Jessie Shoemaker and Grace Lilly; 3 brothers, Louis, Elmer and Milton Shoemaker; and 5 nieces. Survivors include a sister, Goldie Plunkett of Columbus, OH; a niece who helped care for her, Vivian Bartlett of Daniels; 2 great nieces and several nephews. Services will be on Sunday at her church. Burial at Sunset memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may call at the Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home today. NOTE: all her records say born in Maryland, not PA.
