TORRINGTON. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Josephine Lovetri King, 84, of Forest Street were held February 6 from the LaPorta Funeral Home to St. Joseph Church, Winsted, for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in St. Joseph New Cemetery in the spring.


Mrs. King, widow of Leonard King, died Wednesday, February 3, at Wolcott Hall Convalescent Home in Torrington. She was born April 10, 1914, in Norfolk, daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (English) Lovetri.


She leaves a son, Leonard G. King of Torrington; two daughters, Nancy Davis of Winsted and Carol Barbieri of Watertown; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Maryann King; five brothers, Salvatore Lovetri, Carmen Lovetri, Charles Lovetri, Joseph Lovetri and Service Lovetri and a sister, Angie Bazzano.
