Mr Warner was the son of Annie Irvine and George Washington Keath, who died in the Phillipines during the Spanish American War. It appears from the census records of 1910 that his mother married a Watson Warner, who probably adopted James. Annie, his mother, applied for GW Keath's SS benefits after his death, only to discover he had been previously married to another woman, whom he had not divorced. Later generations have changed the spelling of Keath to Keith.
