RESIDENT OF IOWA 67 YEARS DIES HERE
Had resided here two years--settled near Scranton in 1855
Mrs. Nancy A. Short, 75 years old, pioneer resident of Greene County, Iowa, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Wilson, 609 George St.(Sioux City), late Wednesday night of a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Short was born in Indiana, August 16, 1847 and came west, settling near Scranton, Ia, when she was eight years old. She married there and has been residing in Sioux City for the past two years.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Wilson, she is survived by two sons, Ed Short of Rush Springs, Okla. and Earl Short of Oklahoma City.
Funeral services will be held at Westcott's undertaking parlor this afternoon and the body will be sent to Scranton for burial.
[Note: both sons, Ed F. Short, 1869-1935 and Frederick Earl Short, 1887-1953, died in California.]
