Frank I Gates of Frugality, fatally injured with a broken back when hit by a car while enroute to midnight mass on Christmas eve. He was walking with his wife and father in law, George McLucas of Frugality. He was born in Frugality, December 22, 1873, a son of Henry A and Mary (Noel) Gates. He is survived by his wife, son Kenneth and daughter Rebecca, sister Mrs Etta Kline, and brothers: Michael, Harry, Syrus, all of Demming , Washington; Edward of Altoona, and Ralph and Thomas of Fallentimber; 2 grandchildren. Interment will be in the St Augustine Cemetery
