We remember and honor our remarkable mother who left us too soon. She was a hardworking single mother who migrated from Texistepeque, El Salvador. In an attempt to escape the civil war in El Salvador, our mother packed up her family and came to the US in 1981 with her 4 children, Carlos, age 10, Hector, 8, Lidia, 7, and Roxana who was 6 years old. After arriving in the United States, they lived in Los Angeles for a few years before moving to Oakland, CA, where Lidia had her 5th child Cynthia.

Eventually, the family moved back to Los Angeles where they remained for many years and she worked as a Housekeeper while supporting and raising her family.

A hard working single mother who dedicated her life to providing for her family, and did everything she could to ensure that her children had every opportunity to excel in life. Despite the many challenges she faced, she never let them defeat her. Lidia's tireless work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew her, and it is a legacy that will endure for many generations.

But it wasn't her strength and resilience that made her special, it was her kind heart and generous spirit that made her special. That kind heart, generous spirit, and her love for life, was what made her an unforgettable presence. She had a knack for making everyone feel welcome in her home.

As we say goodbye to an incredible woman, we celebrate all that she accomplished in her life. We will miss her dearly and will carry her memory with us always as a reminder of the power and beauty of a life lived with purpose and love.
