Anna Elizabeth Pugh was born in Clinton County, Mo., November 10, 1876, and moved to Wellington, Kans., with her parents, while yet a small child. She was married May 28, 1902, to Walter H. Dawson, who preceded her in death in 1903. to this union one son, Fred Dawson, was born.
In 1913 she moved to Tonkawa, Okla., to make her home. She united with the Christian church at an early age and was a devoted and consecrated Christian to her death. She had been critically ill for three weeks and passed away at her home, 205 North Seventh street, Sunday night, October 30, at 11 o'clock.
She leaves to mourn her passing besides the son, Fred Dawson of Kansas City, Mo., two sisters, Mrs. Sherman Querry of Tonkawa, and Mrs. Chas. Marriott of Slaton, Texas; two brothers, Joseph Pugh of Mandeville, La., and Fred Pugh of Santa Barbara, Calif., and one uncle, J. M. Whitson of Spearman, Texas, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Fist Christian church by the pastor, Rev. J. C. Lawder. Interment in the Wellington (Kans.) cemetery.
