The following is from the Wessington, SD "Times Enterprise" issue of Saturday April 14, 1888:
"Died--At J. Petersons Sunday night last, Mildred Alice, only daughter of Richard and Alice Huxtale, aged two months, of quick pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the house of the grand-parents Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Woodruff, on Tuesday, Rev. Phifer officiating, and the remains were laid away in the Cemetery at Rose Hill. The parents feel deeply the loss of this, their first and only child. they have the sympathy of the eitire community."
