Tombstone in front of a large "Huxtable" stone
The following is from the Robertts, IL "Record", issue date unknown:
"Sad Death of Mrs. Huxtable.
The death of Mrs. Elma Huxtable has been a very sad one, and the citizens of Roberts join with the Record in extending deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
The funeral services, which were held at the M. E. church on Friday at 2 p.m. were very sad, and were conducted by Rev. De Bois.
The deceased was ill with pneumonia but a short time and all that was possible was done to save her life. She leaves a husband and two small children, besides a very large circle of warm friends to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Graham, mother of the deceased, will remain with Mr. Huxtable and family for the time being."
