A. N. CRAWFORD, WHO LIVED HERE FOR 16 YEARS DIES AT OMAHA

Word has been received this week by Cedar county friends and relatives of the death of A. N. Crawford, for 16 years a resident of the county but who has been living at Union for the past four years, who died in an Ohaha hospital on the morning of November 22.
Mr. Crawford was stricken with appendicitis four days before his death and was rushed to the hospital at Ohama, where he was given the best of care, but despite all that could be done, he passed away.
He was born at Union on February 9, 1877 being nearly 54 years of age at the time of his death. He moved with his family to Cedar county on March 12, 1910, and farmed in the vicinity of Hartington and Coleridge for over 16 years, moving back to Union four years ago.
He leaves to mourn his deparure his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Crawford, and 10 children. They are Mrs. Mamie Hoggatt of Norfolk, Lawson of Los Angleles, Calif, Mrs. Mabel Lowell of El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Marjorie Brown at Newcastle, Mrs. Dorothy Everett of Union, and Bernadine, Bennie, Francis, Eunice and Stanley at home. He is also survived by his aged mother, Mrs. W. H. Crawford, and six brothers, Luther, Ray, Winnie and Norman of Nebraska City and Bert and Lennie of Hartington.
Funeral services were held from the Baptist church at Union last Thursday at three o'clock in the afternoon, and were conducted by Rev. R. W. Taylor. The body was laid to rest in the East Union cemetery.
