Donald W. Myers, Army Veteran, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023. He was 95.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois I. Myers on April 21, 1994.
Donald is survived by their five children Robert Myers, Sandra Hunt, Randall Myers, Dennis Myers and Cynthia Childers; their 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his second wife, Gloria Myers and her son Estit Rameriz. As well as many spouses and loved ones that are such a big part of the family that binds us together.
Donald was born on September 12, 1927. He was oh so close to his 96th birthday at his passing. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Edward and Ora Myers. Don and Lois moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1969.
Don was well known for his sales and installations of Steinway pianos and Allen organs throughout the state of Arizona. He also enjoyed tuning pianos and doing detailed repairs. This included total rebuilds of the piano "actions".
Don played the piano and organ totally by ear. He was a featured singer at local churches and was a favorite for many.
A visitation for Donald will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
Following the visitation will be a graveside service with military honors at 12:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park.
