Jensen, Maxine

Maxine B. Jensen of Bremerton died Jan. 12, 2008. She was 90.
She was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Gibbon, Neb. to Sarah and Herschel Weakley. She married Hector Jensen April 14, 1945 and they blended two young families together, soon adding two more children of their own.
Mrs. Jensen bowled in two leagues until she was 89. Although she traveled extensively throughout her years, the most important thing in her life was her family. Every Sunday was family day at the farm in Central Valley.
Mrs. Jensen was a lifetime member of Bremerton Sons of Norway and served as social director for many years. She reserved Saturday nights for dancing at "The Sons." She sold Avon and Beeline Clothing, not for the income, but for the love of just being with people.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hector; daughters Jeanette Yohey and Janice Parks; and brother Bill Weakley.
Survivors include Betty (Joe) Wilbur of Shelton; Carol Jean (Elton) Buller of Tuscon, Ariz.; Lyle (Barbara) Yohey and Phyllis (John) Flesher of Bremerton; Don (Melissa) Jensen of Seabeck; Bonnie (Elwin) Burmaster of Silverdale; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice, Dept. 4194, PO Box 34936, Seattle, WA 98124.
We will all miss your beautiful smiling face.
