Terry McClelland Obituary


RACINE - Terry L. McClelland, 52, passed away at home on Friday, April 27, 2007. Terry was born here in Racine to Ivory and Betty McClelland on April 10, 1955. He attended J.I. Case High School. He later went to work at Chrysler Motors in Kenosha, where he dedicated 33 years of service. His last working day was April 27, 2007. He was a member of New Covenant Church, where he served as a greeter under the leadership of Pastors Tony and Sonya Visor. He was an avid CB'er, transmitting throughout the Midwest and East and West Coasts and was known to fellow CB'ers as Air Force One or Trouble Man. He also had a great love for music, in which he sang and played in numerous bands in Racine.


Surviving are his loving wife, Carolyn L. (nee: Boykin) McClelland; children, Corry and Tanisha Norris and Tahirah and Kierra McClelland; a special niece, Sha'Meeka Boykin, all of Racine; five loving grandchildren, Cortasia, Nyasia, Ciara, Khaliq, and Jaden; and brothers and sisters, Earnest of Ohio, Glendale of Milwaukee, Margaret (Rufus) Lark of Oshkosh, Kathy (James) Golden, Robert (Beverly) McClelland, and Brian McClelland of Racine. Further survived by his in-laws, Wiladron Boykin, Samuel (Mattie) Boykin, Tyron (Peggy) Boykin, and Terrance Boykin; a special sister-in-law, Vivian Boykin, all of Racine; special people, Neicy Norris, Belinda Renee Martin, and Tony Turner; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory and Betty McClelland; and oldest brother, Junior.


Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Baptist Church located at 1120 Grand Avenue on Friday, May 4, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tony Visor of New Covenant Church officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Kasuboski and Haas Funeral Home, 1435 Douglas Avenue, on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
