Aged Resident of This City Dead
Mr. J. J. Hartsfield died last night at the City Hospital, after an attack of pneumonia resulting from Influenza. Death came at about seven oclock, after an illness extending over a period of less than one week. His death brings sorrow to many through this section.
Mr. Hartsfield was born in North Carolina, seventy one years ago and has been a resident of this immediate section for about thirty five years. He is survived by the following childrne: Miss Missouri Hartsfield of Merrillville, Miss Viola Hartsfield of Macon, Miss Bessie Hartsfield and Messrs. Charles, John, Lonnie, Isaiah, Oscar, William and Gilbert Hartsfield of this county. Messrs Isaac and Oscar Hartsfield are in the service of Uncle Sam at present time.
The funeral serivces occurred this afternoon at the Baptist church in the presence of a large number of friends.

THOMASVILLE, Oct 30. J. J. Hartsfield, of this county, living near Thomasville, was buried yesterday afternoon, having died as a result of pneumonia. Mr. Hartsfield was 71 years of age and had lived a number of years in this county. He is survived by ten children, Miss Missouri Hartsfield, Merrillville, Miss Viola Hartsfield, Macon, Miss Bessie Hartsfield, Charles, John, Lonnie, William and Gilbert Hartsfield of this county, and Oscar and Alonzo Hartsfield, now in the service of thier country.
