Jamie Lee Brazina, 16, died Monday (May 29, 2000) at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Somerville, she lived there until moving to Port Murray three years ago. Her education began at Crim Elementary School in Bridgewater, then Central School in Somerville, then Woodglen Middle School in High Bridge and was currently a sophomore at Voorhees Regional High School in High Bridge.

Jamie was a student at Golden Rule Karate School in Port Golden and achieved the rank of purple belt and was presently in pursuit of her brown belt under Sensei Paul. She was a member of Rolling Hills Council Girl Scout Troop of Somerville. She was a volunteer worker for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and assisted in fund raising programs for Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in Browns Mills and was a recipient of a Certificate of Recognition for her volunteer work for Eagles Aerie Lodge No. 2137. Jamie's life long ambition was to help with child development as a career.

As evidence of her career intentions and ambitions, she willfully donated her organs to assist others in need and as of this moment there are several individuals who are successful recipients, "thanks to Jamie".
