Obituary

Louisa Krakenberger was born in Sheboggan county, Wisconsin, October 15, 1844, and died at her home in Crescent, Okla., Saturday, August 12, 1911, at 11:40 p.m., at the age of 66 years, 9 months, and 18 days.

She was married in 1868 to John Ahrnsbrak. To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters, of which one son, Frank Ahrnsbrak of Marshall, Okla., and two daughters, Mrs. Annie Parker of Chanie, Washington, and Mrs. Emma Johnson, of Crescent, Okla., survive her; one son, Geo. Died at the age of twenty-one in 1893 and one son Johnie died in infancy. Her husband died in 1890.

She made her home in Wisconsin until after her marriage, when, in 1869, they moved to Iowa, where they made their home for about eight years. From Iowa they moved to Kansas, where they lived thirteen years. They came to Oklahoma at the opening, taking a claim six miles southeast of Marshall. Here she resided until about seven years ago, when she moved to Marshall, living there until about two years ago, when she moved to Crescent to live with her daughter. She resided in Crescent until the time of her death.

She was a member of the Lutheran church until her removal to Marshall when she united with the Christian church.

She lived an earnest consistent christian life, and died in the faith in which she had lived.

She was a member of the Rebekah lodge, holding membership in the Silver Star lodge at Crescent.

Her last sickness covered a period of four years, during which she was a patient sufferer never complaining of her suffering.

She leaves beside her immediate family, a large circle of friends to mourn her loss, and to sympathize with the family in their bereavement.

Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at Marshall in the Christian church by the pastor A.G. Smith, and her body was laid to rest I Pleasant Ridge cemetery, southeast of Marshall, beside the graves of her husband and son. The Rebekahs had charge of the burial services.
