"Brenda Kay Reed, 54, Covington, died 6:35 a.m. Sunday in her residence. Mrs. Reed was employed by Covington IGA and attended New Century Baptist Church. She was a Covington High School graduate.

She was born May 4, 1947, at Covington, to Lowell and Patricia Blue Pavey. She married Richard L. Reed, Dec. 5, 1965, at Cates, Ind. He survives.

Also surviving are her father, at Kingman; two daughters, Amy Hobbs, North Manchester, and Dawn L. Reed, Indianapolis; three sisters, Deanna Sanders, Debbie Pavey and Tammy Woolwine, all of Cates; and one grandson. Her mother and a brother, Larry Pavey, are deceased.

Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hall-Woodrow Funeral Home, 400 E. State St., Kingman, with Joe Dodds officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery, Covington.
