Hershel R. Milne, 66, of 4716 N. Oakley Avenue, died Thursday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was born in Griswold, Iowa and had lived in this area since 1941. Mr. Milne was a truck driver for Farmland Industries Inc. for 30 years before he retired in 1979. He was a member of trustee of the College Heights United Methodist Church and its administrative board. He was a Navy Veteran of World War 2 and a member of the North Kansas City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He was a member of the East Gate Masonic Lodge, the East Gate Chapter of the Royal Arch Mason, the East Gate Commandry of the Knight Templar and the Ararat Shrine. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth C. Milne of the home; a son, Dean H. Milne, North Kansas City; a daughter, Mrs. Rita L. Wittman, Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Harriett Mulrean, San Diego, and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.. Saturday at the Earp Truman Road Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. today at the chapel, where friends ay call from 7 to 9 p.m.
