Paul David Reed, 86, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born the son of George and Zannie Reed on April 1, 1937 in Hardin County, KY. Paul married the love of his life, Barbara Arnold, on November 23, 1991 in Indianapolis, IN.
Paul spent 42 of his working years as a sheet metal foreman with the Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Local #20 in Indianapolis until his retirement in 1999. Paul was a strong man of faith and attended Shiloh Christian Church in Greenfield where he served as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. Throughout his life, he enjoyed studying God's word from the Bible, woodworking and fishing. Above anything, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandkids who will miss him dearly.
Paul is survived by his wife; three children; three brothers; two sisters; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ann Baker; and brother, Floyd Reed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, IN.
